ABOUT
Bryan L. Wade (Broadway: Finian’s Rainbow, National Tours: Chicago, Whistle Down the Wind, Three Irish Tenors) is a musical director/conductor, vocal coach and Broadway accompanist. He has musical directed shows for the New York Musical Theatre Festival, the Midtown International Theatre Festival, Irish Repertory Theatre, York Theatre, as well as over twenty productions in regional venues along the East Coast.
Dr. Wade received his training in vocal pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned his Master's degree in Music (piano performance and vocal performance).
He earned his Ph.D. degree in Music from The Catholic University of America.
His students are currently performing on Broadway, and in National tours, Regional venues, and on Cruise Line Production Entertainment productions.
He remains active in New York as a Voice Teacher and Vocal Coach.
Recently, Dr. Wade has opened up a Voice Studio in Central Virginia, working with students from the Washington, DC and Richmond areas.
BIOGRAPHY
Bryan L. Wade (Broadway: Finian’s Rainbow, National Tours: Whistle Down the Wind, Chicago, Three Irish Tenors) is a conductor, musical director, vocal coach, and Broadway accompanist. He has served as music director/conductor for productions in New York Musical Theater Festival, Midtown International Theater Festival, Irish Repertory Theatre and York Theatre. He has musical directed/accompanied over twenty stage productions in regional venues along the East Coast, including Orchard Beach (ME), Hampton Playhouse (NH), Capital Repertory (NY), John Engeman Theater (NY), TheatreVirginia, and the Spoleto Festival (Charleston, SC).
A native Virginian, he earned both his Master’s and Bachelor’s in Piano Performance with a minor in Vocal Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University. He received additional training as orchestrator and conductor at the University of Texas-Austin. He completed his post-graduate studies at The Catholic University of America, earning his Ph.D. in Music.
Dr. Wade’s students currently perform on Broadway, national tours, regional theaters and as featured performers on cruise line productions. Currently, he is guest artist as instructor for performance master classes in the national collegiate circuit. He was vocal director for both Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise lines, and he has served on the faculties of Marymount Manhattan College and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
